Description:
The Poison Tail Pro jighead is a premium jighead made with a Mustad Ultra Point black nickel extra wide gap hook, oven-cured powder paint, and holographic eyes. The Pro version features a special wire Bait Keeper that allows plastic trailers to be rigged "Texas" style on the jighead for a weedless jig without a weedguard. The nose of the plastic bait is pushed over the Bait Keeper until it is tight against the jighead, then the hook point is placed in the bait to make it "Texas" rigged. This versatile jighead can be swam, jigged, crawled on the bottom or flipped into cover. The jighead has a broad enough bottom that it will stay upright when fishing it on the bottom, yet has enough of a taper in front to work well through grass or cover. This jighead design has a skirt collar ring plus a keeper barb for retaining plastic trailers. The Poison Tail Jighead is also available with a flipping strength Mustad 32886BLN round bend hook for those that prefer the round bend over the extra wide gap hooks.
Use: Bass fishing in or around cover: a skirt can be added to make a bass jig; a plastic bait like a hula grub, spider grub, crawdad bait or stickbait can be fished on the jighead.
