Pro Swimbait Hook
Description:
Swimbait fishing is a hot new bass fishing technique that uses large, strong hooks rigged in a swimbait body. The Pro Style Weighted Swimbait Hooks meet the needs of this technique with a premium Mustad Ultra Point black nickel extra wide gap hook with a stainless steel baitkeeper spring installed and a small flat lead weight molded onto the hook shank. The flat weight allows the hook to sit on the bottom for bottom dragging techniques, plus it allows more clearance for bulky swimbait bodies. The large hook ensures a good hookset even with bulky swimbaits and is strong and sharp enough to handle big bass. The spring is inserted into the nose of the plastic swimbait, holding it more securely than a normal worm hook. The point of the hook is inserted into the bait like a normal Texas rig. The Weighted Swimbait Hooks allow the swimbait to be fished more effectively below the surface. The weight is movable up and down the hook shank to change the balance point of the hook/bait. Another pro angler tip is to bend the hook point out just a little bit to increase hook-ups.
Use: Bass fishing: for fishing hollowbody swimbaits around weeds or other cover or in open water.
