I revised the navigation bar to use images as links to pages on the website; the images change colors when you run the mouse over them.

I revised the Bragging Board so that the photos open in a smaller pop-up window when you click on the photo links; if you leave the pop-up window open, new photos open in the same window when you click on them.

I also revised the Jig Skirt Patterns and Marabou Steelhead Jig Patterns pages so that the photos open in a smaller pop-up window when you click on the photo thumbnails; if you leave the pop-up window open, new photos open in the same window when you click on the thumbnails. This will make it easier to surf through all of the jig skirt patterns without opening a bunch of windows.

Here is another new Elken product: Wacky Sinkers. The sinkers are used to weight one end of a stickbait that is wacky rigged so that one end of the bait is on the bottom, but the hook is still in the middle and the free end of the bait is sticking up off the bottom. They are available in painted or plain versions in sizes: 3/32 oz., 1/8 oz., 3/16 oz., 1/4 oz. and 5/16 oz. Here is a link to the webpage for them: Wacky Sinkers.

I did some calculations on the sales prices of my Jig Skirts and decided that I was losing money at the prices I started with. I raised the prices to a point where I can actually make a little money...

I updated the website today; I changed the header text image at the top and removed the Elken Enterprises logo from the home page. I now have my Elken Design website up and running, so I added that link to the Elken Design text in the footer in this website. I added a new jighead and jig: the Weedless Bullet Jighead. It has a taped shape and a 28° hook so that the line tie is near the front of the head; it should work well as a swimming jig or when fishing in grass or weeds. The jigheads can be made with either a wide gap hook or a heavy round bend hook.

I added the heaviness availability of each color in the weedguard chart and a couple photos to the Bragging Board. The bass in both of the photos I added were caught on Columbia River Craw jigs; my partner also caught a 5.07 lbs. smallmouth on a Columbia River Craw jig on C.J. Strike Reservoir (photo didn't turn out; my digital camera evidently doesn't like sub freezing temperatures...) so I guess that is the hot pattern for the year so far.

The steelhead jig patterns and plastic shad bodies are all updated; I also added the tape colors for the Zonar and Rampage jigs. I need to fix the order form and find a better solution for the Bragging Board, plus add a few new jig skirt patterns and I will be caught up.

I wanted to get the new website completely done before releasing it, but I'm getting busy with jig orders already so the website is out. It is complete except for 5 or 6 steelhead jigs pictures and the plastic shad body color pictures. I didn't get a chance to validate all of the code yet either, so if you see a bug, let me know!
